Terms of Service

Who we are.
Quando is a calendar app for iPhone, iPad and Mac, offered by Danilo Marinaccio, Italy, VAT no. 03545460168 (“we”). By downloading or using Quando you accept these terms. If you don’t accept them, don’t use the app.
How we handle personal data is described in the Privacy Policy.
License.
Quando is downloaded from the App Store. The app is covered by Apple’s standard license agreement for App Store apps (Apple Standard EULA, apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula). These terms supplement it and don’t replace it.
In addition:
- We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Quando on Apple devices that you own or control, under the App Store usage rules.
- Quando, its name, its design and its code remain ours. You may not copy, sell or redistribute them, or try to extract the source code, except where the law allows it.
- Some components belong to third parties and have their own licenses: the Phosphor icons (MIT) and the Onest typeface (OFL).
No account.
Quando has no accounts. To sync calendars between your devices you use your Apple Account and iCloud. To buy Quando Pro you use your Apple Account and the App Store. You are responsible for access to your devices and to your Apple Account.
Free Plan and Quando Pro.
Quando is free to download and has a Free Plan. Quando Pro is an optional subscription that adds more features. You can see which ones in the “Quando Pro” window in the app and on getquando.com. The features of Pro may change over time. If they change in a way that significantly affects you, we’ll tell you in the app or on the website.
The Quando Pro subscription.
- Price. €19.99 per year (VAT included). In the App Store the price and currency depend on your country: what you see when you confirm the purchase applies.
- Free trial. 7 days, once per Apple Account, for people who haven’t used it before. If you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, you pay nothing.
- Payment and renewal. Apple charges your Apple Account at the end of the trial (or at confirmation, if there is no trial). The subscription renews automatically every year unless you turn off auto-renewal at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- How to cancel. In your Apple Account settings: on iPhone and iPad, Settings › your name › Subscriptions; on Mac, App Store › your name › Account Settings. In Quando you’ll find the “Manage Subscription” button. If you cancel, Pro stays active until the end of the period you’ve already paid for (or the trial).
- Refunds and withdrawal. Apple handles them, under its terms and the rights the law gives you as a consumer. Ask Apple for a refund (reportaproblem.apple.com). The payment goes through Apple: we can’t refund it directly.
- Price changes. If the price changes, Apple notifies you and, where required, asks for your consent. Where your consent is required, the subscription doesn’t renew without it.
- When it ends. If the subscription ends, the Pro features lock and Quando returns to the Free Plan. Your calendars and events stay where they are, in iCloud and on your device; renew to get the Pro features back. On the Free Plan you can create a limited number of Quando calendars.
- Restoring. If you already have Pro with the same Apple Account on another device, use “Restore Purchases”.
Your content.
Calendars, events and everything you write in Quando remain yours. They live on your device and, if iCloud is on, in your iCloud; we don’t receive them, and you don’t grant us any license over them. You are responsible for what you enter and for having the right to enter it.
Quando lets you import and export calendars in .ics format: use export to keep a copy of your data.
System calendars and writing.
Quando can show events from the calendars already on your device (iCloud, Google, Exchange…), after your permission. Where the system allows it, Quando can create, edit, move and delete events in those calendars. Changes go through the system and are handled by the service that hosts the calendar: we aren’t responsible for that service. Check important events, especially when you first enable editing of system calendars.
Acceptable use.
Use Quando in accordance with the law. Don’t try to get around its technical limits or the paid plan, or use it for unlawful activities or to harm services or other people.
Third-party services and availability.
Quando relies on services we don’t control: iCloud, the App Store, Maps, speech recognition, notifications and third-party calendars. We don’t guarantee that they are always available or that they work as expected. If iCloud doesn’t respond, your data stays on the device and syncs when the service returns.
Warranties and liability.
Quando is an aid to help you organize yourself. Please check important appointments carefully: alerts may not be delivered, and synchronization or widget updates may fail, because of errors, device settings or third-party services. To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect damages or missed appointments caused by these.
This doesn’t limit your rights as a consumer, nor liability for wilful misconduct or gross negligence, nor anything the law doesn’t allow us to exclude. As a consumer you are entitled to the conformity of digital content and digital services (Articles 135-octies and following of the Italian Consumer Code, implementing Directive (EU) 2019/770).
Changes.
We may improve, change or remove features, and update these terms. We update the date at the top and, for important changes, tell you in the app or on the website. If you keep using Quando after a change, you accept the new terms; if you disagree, stop using it.
Ending the relationship.
You can stop at any time: delete the app and, if you wish, your data from iCloud (see the Privacy Policy). The rules above apply to the subscription.
Governing law.
These terms are governed by Italian law. If you are a consumer living in another country of the European Union, the mandatory rules of your country still apply to you. If you are a consumer, disputes fall under the courts of the place where you live or are domiciled. For other users, the Court of Bergamo has jurisdiction. Before going to court you can write to us: we’ll look for a solution together.
